Taiwanese artists are scattered across Germany — leaving their traces in Berlin's galleries, Munich's theaters, Hamburg's jazz clubs. Yet news of these performances and exhibitions tends to stay on organizers' own channels — few come to know of them, and fewer still find their way there.

Taiwan vor Ort brings these threads together in one place. Here, the events and works of Taiwanese artists and writers across Germany are gathered — scattered information becomes a calendar that makes them visible. For creators, this is a window through which they're seen; for Taiwanese people living in Germany, and for anyone curious about Taiwanese culture, it's a shortcut — no more following one account after another, no more leaving it to chance whether you hear about an event in time.

Taiwanese cultural organizations across Germany have found their place here too. At the same time, we're steadily building a collection around Taiwan — from history and society to food culture and literature , to language and study opportunities — so that anyone curious about the island can not only find out when and where an event is happening, but also come to know a little more of Taiwan itself. The platform runs in three languages — Taiwanese Mandarin, English, German — hoping to open a door to Taiwan for people across different linguistic backgrounds.
