鄒佑昇

Yu-Sheng Tsou 鄒佑昇, born in 1987 in Yilan (Taiwan), currently lives in Munich. In 2026 he received his doctorate from LMU Munich with the dissertation The Ritual of Esoteric Buddhism as a Form of the Observation of the Unobservable, which draws on Luhmannian systems theory to trace the entanglement of epistemology and poetics in esoteric Buddhist ritual.

His poetry reflects on how poetic language, as a quasi-text, is pursued by expressions, thus becoming a contingent beginning of words.
A Brief Commentary on the Calendar of the Greatest Unfolding 大衍曆略釋 (2014) is his first poetry collection in Chinese; die sich vereinende deckung (2021) is his German-language debut, which also appears in a corresponding Chinese version, A Self-Assembling Shelter 集合的掩體 (2023).
