From Everyday Life to Writing
The National Museum of Taiwan Literature and the Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office in Germany invite you to two literary events in Berlin on 13 and 14 October. Writers Liu Ka-shiang and Stephan Thome and translator Karin Betz speak from different perspectives about Taiwan, local life, travel and literature.
On 13 October, under the title “From Everyday Life to Writing”, Liu Ka-shiang and Stephan Thome draw on their experience of walking, observing and living in a place for many years to discuss how places, people and history find their way into literature – and how we can learn to see the familiar anew.
The second event in the series, “Between Travel and Translation”, takes place on 14 October in the Kultursaal of the Taipei Representative Office.
Languages: Mandarin and English. Registration required.
