About this event
Taiwanese trio 3PEOPLEMUSIC (zheng, ruan, dizi/xiao) shares the stage with Berlin's Sonar Quartett. The evening brings six new works, each heard here for the first time, along with two improvisations played by both ensembles together.
The composers are Chao-Ming Tung, Vincent Ho, Chihchun Chi-sun Lee, Chiung-Wen Hsu, Felix Tetz and Michael A. Leitner. Over several months of working closely with both ensembles, they explored how the three instruments are played and how they sound, then wrote for them together with string quartet.
Doors open at 19:30. Supported by the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan, and the National Culture and Arts Foundation (NCAF).
